In particular, we are very proud to have started and built on our relationship with the Baker Research Institute. The Baker is one of the most respected and trusted cardiac research organisations in Australia, and its partnership has been successful and growing. The collaboration allows patients to enrol in local clinical studies without having to make the burdensome travel to the city.

To date, there have been a number of successful studies (e.g., Risk ECADS and Predict), with more in the pipeline. The doctors at HeartWest are involved in all levels of research:

We are currently enrolling or preparing to enrol in studies related to hypertension, heart failure and lipid therapy.
