The Team at HeartWest believes that research and innovation are essential in advancing health care, whether through the development of new medications, the innovation of new models of care, or partnerships with other health providers (e.g., hospitals and general practitioners). In particular, we are very proud to have started and built on our relationship with the Baker Research Institute.

The Baker is one of the most respected and trusted cardiac research organisations in Australia, and the partnership with them has been successful and growing. The collaboration allows patients to enrol in clinical studies locally and not have to make the burdensome travel to the city. To date, we have conducted a number of successful studies (e.g., Risk ECADS and Predict) that have significantly contributed to the advancement of cardiac care, with more in the pipeline.
