Dr Jeremy Pereira
Jeremy is a senior cardiologist at HeartWest, Western Health and Western Private Hospital and has worked in Melbourne as a consultant cardiologist since 2001, after returning from postgraduate training and research at the Cleveland Clinic, USA.
He did his medical training at the University of Melbourne, cardiology training in Geelong and Adelaide, before completing a postgraduate Fellowship in Echocardiography at the Cleveland Clinic, receiving several research awards during his training.
While having a special expertise in stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography he is involved in all aspects of clinical cardiology including chest pain assessment and management and performs coronary angiography, arrhythmia diagnosis and management, valvular heart disease and heart failure.
He is committed to the Medical Education of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees, as well as General Practitioners in the Western region.
In addition to admitting patients to Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals and Western Private Hospital, he also provides inpatient services at Epworth Hospital, Richmond.
