Mark studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating with Honours in 1993, and completed basic physician training at St Vincent’s hospital in Melbourne.
He completed cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital (Melbourne) in 2000, followed by four years of research experience at the Baker Institute studying heart failure in mouse models of cardiomyopathy. He completed advanced training in echocardiography and obtained a DDU in 2003.
His current appointments as a cardiologist are at Western Health (Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals) and Alfred Hospital, Western Private Hospital and Cabrini Hospital.
Mark was born in Wroclaw, Poland and speaks fluent Polish.
His interests are: general adult cardiology, transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography, and diagnostic coronary angiography. His work includes consultations for general cardiology (Chest pain, Palpitations, Shortness of breath, Dizziness, Syncope and other symptoms) well as for hypertension, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure and other cardiac problems. Mark is also actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, registrars and advanced trainees.
His other passion is technology and its optimal use to enhance efficiency, proficiency and productivity.
He consults in Essendon, St Albans, Hoppers Crossing, Williamstown and Altona North rooms.
